Author Guidelines

Instruction for Authors

The author is expected to be guided by the provisions made in the preparation of manuscripts. All manuscripts submitted will be reviewed by the editors and at least two reviewers. Authors can submit the name of a prospective review. Bisnis & Birokrasi Journal of Administrative Sciences and Organization (hereinafter as to JBB) holds the principle of anonymous (no names) when reviewing manuscripts that neither the author nor reviewer identity will be kept confidential.

I. Manuscript Form
The JBB accept the manuscript in the form of research article, reviews, both in Indonesia and in English.

1. Research Article, an important and original idea in the administration science that has a broad research scope with in deep discussion of the findings, either in form of field research or desk research.

2. Review can be such as
• The newest scientific development
• Summary results of several studies with an emphasis on ideas for further research.
• Policy development at national and international level.
• Researcher of deep thought.
• Review development books which are covered by the science.
Note: The novelty of research's content determined by updating the contents of the writing state of art science and technology are conceived, sophisticated point of view and approaches, the novelty of the findings for science are presented, cultivation completeness (not just repeat the previous similar research, not permutate methodology and object, did not specify a research question in a series of articles), and the severity and width theory every article printed. II. Submission
Manuscript sent to the JBB Editorial Office: Building B - Prof. Dr. Tapi Omas Ihromi 2nd Floor, Kampus FISIP Universitas Indonesia, Depok 16424, Indonesia, alternatively sent via email to jbbfisip@ui.ac.id, or telp./fax +622178849145.
The author is expected to mention a script that is sent. The results of research or reviews on the top right corner of the page title of the article. Manuscripts sent in three hard copies, one soft copy on CD or via email to jbbfisip@ui.ac.id.

III. Manuscript Format
1. The script can be the result of thought and research. Articles are written in Indonesian with narrative style. Chapter is made as simple as possible to avoid stacking chapter. Tables and figures should include source. Tables and figures are numbered sequentially in accordance with its appearance. All citations and references in the manuscript must be listed in the bibliography, and vice versa, reading the sources listed in the bibliography must be in the script.
2. Put the page number in the upper right. The first part of an article should not be pages.
3. Line number is placed to the left of each sentence.
4. Cover page should show the post title, author name, institution, and correspondence in the form phone number and email (email is expected to institution).
5. Figures pronounced from one to ten, except when used in tables or lists and when used in the unit or quantity of mathematics, statistics, or technical, for example a four-day, 5 miles, 25 years old. All other numbers are expressed numerically.
6. Percentages and decimals for technical use can use the symbol (%) and (,).
7. Tables and pictures placed on separate pages and placed at the end of the text. Each table or figure is numbered and a complete title indicating the contents of tables or graphics.
8. Reference to any table or figure must exist in the text.

IV. Manuscript Sequence
Manuscript prepared in the following:
1. Title in Bahasa and English for Indonesian manuscript. Title in English for English manuscript.
2. Full name without title such as doctoral, master, professor etc.
3. Author's name, telephone, and email for correspondence.
4. Abstract in English (mainly under 200 characters). Abstract including the introduction, research objectives, research methods, and research contribution.
5. Keywords in English which only 3-5 keywords that ease in bestowing indexes. First word become the important one and sorted so.
6. Correspondence author on the first page footer
7. There are two form of manuscript;
(1) Research Article. Manuscript made by using Microsoft Office Word. The whole manuscript typed with times new roman font. Size 12 pt, space 1, A4 and margin of 2 cm all sides and the number of pages does not exceed 25 pages including references. Script editing for all parts of the manuscript (including tables, figures and mathematical equations) is made in a format that can be edited by an editor. Editors may request data used to develop for editing. This article structure including;
• Title
• Name of author
• Institutional positions
• Abstract and keywords
• Introduction (include objectives and theoretical framework)
• Research methods
• Result and discussion
• Conclusion
• Reference, with considering
1. Degrees to date material the reference by looking at the proportions will include a minimum of 60% of published the last ten years.
2. The higher the primary literature referenced, more quality writing.
3. Frequency author refers to himself (self-citations) can reduce the value of the journals.
• Gratitution if it exist

(2) Review. Manuscript made by using Microsoft Office Word. The whole manuscript typed with times new roman font. Size 12 pt, space 1, A4 and margin of 2 cm all sides and the number of pages does not exceed 20 pages including references. This article structure including;
• Abstract and keywords
• Introduction
• Discussion
• Conclusion
• Reference, with considering
1. Degrees to date material the reference by looking at the proportions will include a minimum of 60% of published the last ten years.
2. Frequency author refers to himself (self-citations) can reduce the value of the journals.
• Gratitution if it exist


V. Documentation
Reference:
Papers referred to should use author-year format that refers to the paper in the reference list.
• In the text, the work referenced in the following way: last name / family of the author and year in parentheses. Example (Andi, 1984), two authors (Andi and Clark, 1984). more than two authors (Andi et al, 1984), more than two references (Andi, 1984; Cipta, 1990), two or more writing by an author (Andy, 1984; 1990).
• Reference writings are the work of institutional as much as possible should use acronyms or abbreviations as short as possible. Example: (Committee SAK-IAI, PSAK28, 1984).

Footnotes
Footnotes aren't used for reference. Footnotes are used only for the expansion of information that if included in the text could disrupt the continuity of reading. Footnotes typed in space 1 and placed at the end of the text.
Reference
Each manuscript must include a reference list (References) which only works referenced. Things that should be considered in writing the bibliography is
1. author's name is preceded by writing a last name or family name
2. arranged alphabetically
3. No mention the pages.
4. writing done with a system dependent clause

Description: If there is more than one written by an author, is not necessary to write the name again, simply draw a line along the four hits

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  2. The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
